Delete your Hissa account
The fastest way is from inside the app: open Hissa, go to More, and tap Delete account. It takes effect immediately.
If you can’t get into the app
Enter the email address on the account. We’ll send a six-digit code to it, and entering that code deletes the account immediately — being able to read the account’s email is what proves it’s yours.
What deletion does
Your account is removed and you’re signed out everywhere. Entries your flatmates have already settled against are kept, with your name taken off them, so their closed months still add up. Your email address is released, so you can sign up again from scratch whenever you like.
How long it takes
Both routes are immediate. Deleting from inside the app, or with a code on this page, takes effect the moment you confirm it — there is no queue and nothing to wait for.
